ORGANIZATION

Flight & Ground Instruction

Your flight and ground instructor, Sid Siddiqi, is doing business as CFI Air Academy. Sid is an independent contractor hired directly by the students and paid directly by the students for the ground and flight instruction received. Sid does not own or rent any aircraft. Aircraft are rented by the students for training directly from the organizations listed herein.

Aircraft Rental

The following organizations have agreed to rent aircraft directly to Sid’s students for the sole purpose of training to become Certified Flight Instructors. The RENTAL AGREEMENT is between the student and the organization listed herein.

  •  Global Aviators Academy, Inc. 1615 McKinley Ave. Building B, La Verne, CA 91750
  • Cloud Aviation, Inc. 4233 Santa Anita Ave. Suite 7, El Monte, CA 91731

Students learning to become flight instructors are qualified pilots holding at least a Private Pilot Certificate or a Commercial Pilot Certificate. As per FAA Regulations, it is the duty and responsibility of all pilots to verify by reviewing the written logs provided by the organization renting aircraft, that the rented aircraft complies with FAA-required inspections and maintenance. While your instructor, Sid, exercises due diligence to ensure that the aircraft has been inspected and maintained in accordance with the FAA Regulations, he is not responsible for inspecting and maintaining the aircraft, and neither does he hold an FAA Mechanic’s Certificate. This service is provided by the organization renting the aircraft to the student. Due diligence exercised by Sid is limited to reviewing the written aircraft inspection and maintenance logs provided by the organization renting the aircraft, just like any other pilot renting the aircraft. A student must refuse to fly an aircraft that he/she feels is unairworthy, or is missing a written log, signed by an authorized and FAA certificated mechanic, with respect to the FAA required inspections and maintenance. When in doubt air towards safety and caution.
